This year Huawei has lunched both its flagship series phones which are Huawei P40 Series and Huawei Mate 40 Series. Both phone come with flagship specification with first in industry specifications like 10X optical zoom, 40W and 50W fast wireless charger, 88° curved display, first android phone with 5nm chipset and many more. Nearing the end of this year, next year Huawei will launch the Huawei Mate X2 and Huawei P50 series in the first half of 2021. It’s too early but some information has been leaked about the Huawei P50 series which seem that the camera of the Huawei P50 series will be tremendous.
Huawei P50 Series will be the first phone to be equipped with ultra thin periscope continuous zoom which is better than the normal periscope zoom. Huawei P50 series will be use O-Film ultra thin periscope lens, if you not know about O-Film then let you that O-Film is a chinese image sensor manufacturer. O-Film periscope lens are just 5.9 mm thick. The Continuous zoom feature is offer higher quality images at different levels of zoom. The periscope camera module used in the Huawei P50 series will be easily transitioning between 85mm and 170mm while the lens aperture simultaneously changes from f/3.1 to f/5.1.
The new O-Film periscope will have piezoelectric motor onboard which smoothly and accurately drives a 3-lens assembly alongside the autofocus mechanism forward and back to reach the desired focal length. With the Ultra Thin Periscope lens, the Huawei P50 Series may be equipped with a new primary camera sensor, as always in the Huawei P series. Sony is back licensed to trade with Huawei, which will help Huawei develop the next gen customized sensor and this customized sensor makes Huawei the best camera phone.

Huawei P40 series had equipped 90Hz refresh rate display, but the Huawei P50 series will be high 120Hz refresh rate display with strange resolution as always. During a recent event, Huawei said that it has successfully built a 200W Superfast charger but possibly the Huawei P50 series will have a 66W fast charger. Huawei P50 series will be delayed because of chipset problem. Qualcomm has obtained license to do business with Huawei. It will be interesting to see what Huawei does, it will have a sufficient number of Kirin chipsets that can meet the demand or Huawei will use Snapdragon chipsets. The Huawei P Series is usually launched first quarter but the Huawei P50 series is likely to be launched in mid-April 2020.
