Phone Specifications
In recent times, Huawei hasn’t been launching much phones in China, and especially globally. The reason behind not launching too many phones is the lack of availability of Hi-Silicon Kirin SoC, lack of GMS, no Android update, lack of trust and a lot of problems facing Huawei. Even after all these things happen, Huawei is not stopping itself and Huawei continues to invest in the R&D department to develop new technology and this is the beauty of Huawei. Last year we saw Free Form lenses, 10X optical zoom and lots of new technology used by Huawei, this year we will also see a lot of new technology from Huawei.
After all these things, Huawei is also coming back with its next gen foldable phone, which will be upgraded version of Huawei Mate Xs. The Huawei official already confirmed that Huawei Mate X2 will launch at 22th February. Huawei Mate X2 will totally different design than last generation Huawei Mate Xs.
As usual, some specifications of the Huawei Mate X2 were also leaked and some specifications leaked were followed by TENNA and 3C certification. The Huawei Mate X2 will be slightly inspired by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and will have two displays, one is the primary display (inner display) and the other is the secondary display (external display). The size of inner display is 8.01 inch Samsung OLED display and the external display size is 6.45 inch BOE OLED display. Some rumors have surfaced in recent times suggesting that Huawei will only use the BOE display in the Huawei Mate X2.
Huawei Mate X2 TENNA certification
The measurement of Huawei Mate X2 is 161.8×145.8×8.2mm that are revealed after TENNA certification. It will have a large 4500mAh battery that is pucka for two displays and a 66W super fast charger to full charge the battery in just 40 minutes. The Mate X2 is powered by Huawei own 5nm based Hi-Silicon Kirin 9000. Due to the use of Kirin 9000, its availability will be less compared to Huawei Mate 40 series.

Yesterday, Huawei applied a new folding display patent. That technology can avoid the screen panel from folding by optimizing the connection method of each component. It’s stretched or squeezed during the process thereby reducing the problem of the folding screen. Earlier, Huawei also applied for a patent for automatic repairing methods of display. The hinge of the Huawei Mate X2 folding phone has also been greatly upgraded this time.
