Afterward, you can encounter a Kirlia once you’ve earned 15 hearts with your buddy. You can also encounter a Staryu if you hatch an egg. Also, if you catch 20 different species of Pokemon, you’ll receive 25 great balls. Complete these activities, and you’ll get 10 Poke Balls, 1500 Stardust, and 3000 XP points.
In the next step, catch 3 Pokemon, and this will yield you 789 XP. After you’ve completed this task, you’ll get 50 Cosmog candy, 1500 Stardust, and 3000 XP.
Once you’ve completed the above steps, you can encounter a Staryu after you’ve evolved a Cosmoem. After you’re done with this task, you’ll discover a Staryu and receive 500 Stardust and 2000 XP points.
Once you’ve evolved 3 Pokemon, you’ll receive 12 Nanab Berries. Walking 5 kilometers will result in a Staryu encounter, and producing 15 great throws will reward you with 10 Pinap Berries. After completing these tasks, you’ll encounter a Solrock and receive 1000 Stardust and 4000 XP.

How to Evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem
To finally evolve your Cosmog into Cosmoem, you’ll need 25 Cosmog Candies, which can be obtained once you’ve completed the fourth step of the special research—A Cosmic Companion. As a reminder, in this step, you’ll need to catch 3 Pokemon, which will yield you 789 XP, power up your Pokemon 10 times for an encounter with a Staryu, and evolve a Cosmog for 1000 Stardust. Upon completion, you’ll get 25 Cosmog Candies, 1000 Stardust, and 3000 XP.
Do Cosmog and Cosmoem Have Shiny Variants?
Cosmog and Cosmoem are already very elusive, and catching their shiny variants will be the cherry on top. However, as of now, they don’t come in shiny variants in Pokemon Go.
