Rumors are popping up everywhere suggesting that MIUI 13 could roll out very soon. What we know so far is that Xiaomi is testing MIUI 13 internally both with Android 11 and Android 12.
December is pretty much here so Xiaomi is ready to unveil its next flagship smartphone lineup. From the recent leaks we know that Xiaomi 12X with a codename psyche will be released very soon. It will host Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset, a 50MP primary camera and a 6.28 inch FHD+ AMOLED display.
But that’s not all. It seems like the device will launch with MIUI 13 out of the box. There is also the possibility that Xiaomi will launch Redmi K50 with a codename poussin with MIUI 13 based on Android 11.
Code information suggest a list of devices that could see the first rollouts. Unfortunately, some devices could get Android 11 support instead of Android 12.
Even though Android 12 officially was released in October, Xiaomi didn’t do anything to roll out a stable version or even an active beta. Maybe that is why at least two devices might not get MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Well, at least at first. Instead these two phones would see Android 11, with the newest version of MIUI skin. The problem with that is that some features wouldn’t make it over since they would need Android 12 support.
Hopefully, this delay would be only temporary for the devices in question.
